The Live Events Coalition is a 100% volunteer-led organization, 501(c)(6). No board member or volunteer receives compensation.
Funds collected support our operational needs, including website hosting, business and state filing fees, annual renewals, accounting and tax preparation, Washington DC Fly-In travel expenses, and the costs associated with attending and speaking at industry conferences.
Every dollar helps sustain the advocacy work that protects our industry.
The Legal Stuff
The Live Events Coalition is recognized as a 501(c)(6) nonprofit business league. Contributions, sponsorships, and donations made to the Coalition are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions under Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code.
Because the Coalition engages in lobbying and advocacy activities, all contributions may be used for lobbying purposes and therefore are generally not deductible as business expenses under IRS rules governing 501(c)(6) organizations.
